Homeless and alone

When a homeless man asked a lady for some food, she began to shout.
She slapped his face after she cussed him out.
He went to a few more houses and those people either did something similar or the same.
The man finally died of starvation and that was a damn shame.
He was missing his right hand and he couldn't work.
He might still be alive if those people hadn't been jerks.
There were no homeless shelters in his town so he had to make out the best that he could.
If we ever have the opportunity to help someone in need, we should.
