HOMESPUN

To say...
I once knew summer
Could never be enough
For... we have all known
summer, and
Of its berries, sweet with love
To say...
I have felt the numb of winter
Again, cannot suffice, because
We've all known winter
All felt it's bitter kill, of snow
And ice
But... I have known... your...
summer
For I've stood melting, in your
sun... have tasted...
Every bursting berry
All of them homespun
And, I have known... your...
winter
Warmed frozen hands upon my
skirt
Magicked hot chocolate made
with mother milk
Picked up sad mittens, black
with hurt
And you will never know my
winter, or of the frost that
coats the sun, of how the
mother milk now flows as
tears, each tear... lovingly...

Aw Jim...that's a fabulous comment. I am a master...though only of misery...lol.
Thankyou for your very kind comment Jim ♥️
📌📌📌 OMG! Marion! This poem is truly outstanding in every single way! The metaphorical summer and winter are used to brilliant effect here. I am, of course, devastatingly sorry for your heartbreaking loss but my god your writing pulls every inch of compassion from your readers. Hugs, hugs and hugs again ⚘x
