Poem -

Hope

with a double-edged laser
sharp diamond cutter

slice that thick atmosphere of sorrow
as if it were a birthday cake

split each offensive atom clean in half

to become sparklers of celebration

discard your grief
within trojan nukes

that dissolve a million hypocritical rainbows

each saline droplet
hitting the scorched summer asphalt

bursting open lotuses
that heal like spring rain

as the clouds dissipate
inhale the sweet aroma
of getting over loss

seed your bright new panorama
with abundant life again
