Poem -

Hope

I sleepwalk to the stars

Believing they are

So near and approachable;

As I grope for them

One by one

They melt away

Like tiny balls of snow

Leaving me disheartened

I cry at the moon

That watches me silently

From a distance, as a pure

Girl going to be wedded;

And shedding its smile

Onto the bed where

I am asleep and dreaming;

I rush back to gather

The smile in my palms

And feel the hard stroke

Of the cruel sun making

Fun of me through the cracks

In my window panes.
