Hope: A Feeling of None

And I noticedĀ
That in the end of it allĀ
Nothing lastsĀ
The flowers wilt and dieĀ
The leaves decayĀ
The ground rots as we walkĀ
Nothing is ever the sameĀ
As the newborn cries as it takes it’s first breath of lifeĀ
The mother closes her eyes, taking one final breath of life
As one life is born, another must goĀ
In the end nobody can escapeĀ
Young or old, small or tall
Death will become usĀ
And we will fade into the nothingness
The nothingness is home
