Hopeless

She grabs your throat with words but the choking feels the same she drives a stake right through your heart and expects you to take the pain she says you’re a man why cant you handle it and before I can seem to answer she’s hitting me again I’m lost with thoughts I’m lost with anger I’m exhausted I’m confused because you yell at me when I try to please you doesn’t matter what I do. I’ve tried to breathe but your air is poison you say it’s always all my fault I’m just a staircase you try to walk but won’t ever take the fall I can’t see color on a sunny day because you’ve imprisoned me inside contemplate on ending it but I’m still standing at your side I’ve beat myself from the words you’ve said I’ve buried deep within but you’ve forced the monster out of me constantly saying you need to think again and one day I finally thought and concluded to reality that it wasn’t me who had it wrong no it’s you who’s bad for me.
