" IN THIS HOTEL FOR THE INSANE..."

The disillusionment that caved in my confidence
Came in waves, like troops counting cadence
The fact that my Love had gone this way
With my best friend, in the night, gone far astray
Left me on the marbled floor of my loneliness
And the beginning of my heart's
Dark decay...
In this unwelcomed, morose, drudgery
I tried to cry, but found the effort much too great
So I wallowed in this pool of blood
On this, my wedding day
And mumbled a soft goodbye
Filled,
With feverish hate...
And now, in this hotel for the insane
I stare out the window into oblivion's pearly gates
I find I cannot pray or even dare create
For this spell has morphed my life into a constant gray
And the medication will help me control these unholy days
A constantly aching misery
May this, my truth, forever remain
Filled with perfect hate....
