How Fast Things Can Change

How Fast Things Can Change

It's weird how life is starting to be,
A road on which I only see.
No interest to talk, just go and walk
And listen to that which stalks it's prey.
For business is all it is today.
The roads are hard and trees are gone.
The Western world forgot the sun.
Where is that love? Where is that shine.
Not through stuff or through a shrine.
But through that thing which we all have.
A beating heart is worth more than half,
A million of worth in gold.
We all know it will leave us cold.
A beach, the sea, so free in time.
That's where I'll spend what's mine.
The forest calling forth my name,
Beckoning to play it's peaceful game.
