How Noticeable The Absence Of Color

Strawberry sky
Invades an eye,
On the horizon
It brings with it hope
To give color to day
What once was clouded grey,
The sun so missed
You'll stare at it anyway
It's long reach of light
Warms the good old soul
And picks up a passenger of flight
To keep from circling the same dark hole.
Explosions of golden
Dances through the air
Feathered flyers swoop
Then, no longer there,
Trees bow to dazzling brilliance
Drying their glistening shades of green
Animals purposefully bustle
Within the branches between,
Any eye for an attack
Would notice natures besiege,
Colours of the forest
Bloom reflective in greeting day
Only the most perceptive notice
The significance of negligible life, under way,
And it's trivial route
To stretch as high
Occupies perception
Of an orange autumn sky.
Transition to a tone
Of purpling black
Life settles under a darkness cover
Dreaming hues of red
Nuances blue
Upon the back
Draped in white linens thru and thru,
Tomorrow's waiting wings
Readying to steal you away,
The wanting, is depressing, in the absence of colors
With the return of emotionless stormy grey.
