How to Heal a Wounded Heart

How to Heal a Wounded Heart

I am not how you think I am,

I am loving and my heart is pure.

Somethings I do may seem unsure or out of order,

but it comes from a place that only knows love.

It may seem like I fight or push hard,

    but I love even harder.

Stand up for me,

show me that you have my back like I have yours every single day.

Love me unconditionally,

no matter what obstacles may present themselves.

When I'm with you I feel at home,

      more so than ever before.

I don't want to feel less than,

because I will never make you feel that way.

I know everyday that you are ok,

      because I pray for you,

and you are in my spirit.

I am definitely a work in progress,

      slowly mending a wounded heart.

We are working together towards one goal,

and must learn to listen sometimes to actually understand,

and not listen just to respond.

Every battle is not ours to fight and conquer,

sometimes we have to just give it to the Lord,

and trust that he got this and he got us.

How do do heal a wounded heart?

~with patience

~with love

~with guidance

~with prayer

~with trust

~with forgiveness

~most of all togetherness
