Poem -

Humanity

There is little that we need to

survive,

But for more we as human's

strive,

We just need; air, shelter,
water, rest and food,

So why don't we confine ourselves

to solitude,

Solitude seems so painless and
free,

Without anybody to bring

suffering to me,

Why do we long for a sense of
worth,

When no one knows why we are on

this Earth,

A desire to be loved runs deep in
our hearts and minds,

Some are harder than other's to

find,

But everyone's been hurt,
everyone has cried,

Everyone has sinned,

everyone has lied,

So is the love really worth the
pain,

Is the sunlight ever worth the

rain,

Kirsty…your questions in this piece are very profound and ask since time immemorial.  I think the answer is that sunlight will far outlast the rain.  Love will conquer the pain and we will live another day to begin again.  Great write!

Really love this poem and all the true aspects of life's ups and downs can be read throughout. Why can't life be simple, why can't we as a people, appreciate our (God) given birth and why must we have to, (learn how to), live to love and in return, (learn how to),love to live, when it should be a natural occurance in our lives, such as it was in (Gods)......Two lines that stood out to me..

So is the love really worth the
pain,

Is the sunlight ever worth the

rain,

Jim

I am glad that you really enjoyed the poem and I am glad that it led to religious considerations, once again, you have highlighted my favourite lines, I often like to finish a poem with lines that mean a lot to me.

Thank you for all your support, time and effort,

Kirsty
