HUMANIZED

I've been told to give up, give up my dreams
It's not my will that speaks, family's been saying these things
Friends are a past life, or it just seems so long ago
So many things I could ask you now but your answers I'll never know
Dad I found a girl, you must have heard my cries
She one of the good kind, I've been humanized

Like a stray dog come home
Man turned king, found his throne
So many rough edges, after many goodbyes
I've dusted off that old jacket, fitted for humanized

I've hurt a friend or two and trusted a few I could see through
Never was my intention to burn a bridge, never wanted to live out on that ridge
So may things I asked her last night, told me it'd be ok, I'd be alright
Guess she saw something in me, can a Phoenix rise above its past lies?
I've been feeling a little different these days, something humanized

Like a stray dog come home
Man turned king, found his throne
So many rough edges, after many goodbyes
I've dusted off that old jacket, fitted for humanized

"humanized and socialized,

our lives, through lies, materialize,
a demented state as we realize

the true prize that's disguised by our very eyes.

I love it, I felt it more x
