Hurt

She was always the hurter
She left them with no feeling
She laughed at their pain
Thinking them to be fools
She never wanted love
Until she saw the one man
The man who made her
tremble in his presence.

She fell hard for him
He seemed to feel the same
Until one day, with no warning
He was attracted to another
He said, “ I never promised you”
And walked away to be with her
She was completely paralysed,
Unable to breathe, embarrassed.

She could not get out of bed
Quit eating started drinking
Doing drugs, falling apart
Losing her looks, pathetic,
One night she ran into them
She was half drunk
She left falling into an alley
Lying there sobbing.

Until, a man came by
He helped her up
Took her for coffee
Now she was completely
Sober and listening
He just said,
“Life is pain, everyone feels it.
Use your pain, to learn to live.”
