Hush

Hush

Hush, my friend, hush…

… the circus is over!

…

The clowns are gone now.

…

There’s no more noise,

A brittle moon floats quiet in the sky.

There’s no more noise,

No noise…

Just a rustle of wings that cannot fly.

…

Hush, my friend, hush…

… the stars are sleeping!

…

The hour is empty and the heart is full.

…

There’s no more noise

And the universe is frozen in your eyes!

There’s no more noise,

Just listen to my voice

It promises you sweet lies.

…

Hush, my friend, hush…

… the storm is gone!

…

The sea is placid, wavelets of pure serenity.

…

Still there’s no noise

Thus you can hear no pain;

No noise at all,

Except a fainted call,

Just the dim breathe of the fallen in vain.

…

Hush, my friend, hush…

… the battle is lost and nobody cares!

…

The time has come, heave the ashen flag!

The time has come and there’s no snag.

Yes… the time has come when life is obsolete

So hush, my friend,

Just hush and try to sleep.

Please hush, dear friend,

You finally are complete!
