I am.
I've been a couple of different people since breakfast.
A whore, a queen,
A charleton with a dream.
Wondering to which I belong,
Who am I when I am am everyoneย
Yet nothing all at once?
Overwhelmingly endless,
Disappointingly human.
I've been a child with hope and dreams,
And a harlot with broken aspirations.
I've been a hero and a sheep,
Both a mother and a daughter.
Lost, found, mourned,
Then asked not to return.
I've been a dream maker, voodoo shaker,
A babe, a bum, a master.
A server, submissive, a jester, a coward.
I've broken hearts into shards of glass,
Cared for souls that come to pass.
Lived in dreams chasing butterflies,
Then woken up to fire and lies.
I'm one million different souls trapped
In moments blurred.ย
This vessel full of endless minds
That cry and leap and love.
Mindlessly infinite,
Held captive by our own worlds.
