I Am From..

I am from dark skies

With stars shining bright,

The light from the moon

Glistening upon the lake,

I am from that campsite

Where within its heart

The fire burns hot,

For this feeling of content

I have forgotten not,

I am from a family,

Who loves and jokes around,

I am from people whose smile

Reaches from the sky to the ground,

I am from “You can do whatever you put your mind too”,

I am from “Always remember who you are”,

I am from two parents,

With a heart filled with unconditional love,

But most importantly,

All of these things,

Made me who I have become today.
