Poem -

I Am Him

Have you heard the phrase
Dear John and wondered who
In this life, all pays
With whatever you do

I am him, out there
That forgotten prisoner
Life can be unfair
As executioner

As a second chance
For those beaten so bad
With no second glance
Too bent and body bowed

Divorced twice to boot
Children with their own doubts
Still with little loot
The World is my run about

To be forgotten
Can be over rated
Life brings it's sudden
Making smiles gold plated

I am him at last
Full grown man, finally
But I got here fast
Those who helped, family

Now I'm free to roam
But for all my choices
I'm him without home
At ease amid noises
