Poem -

I Am They!

I Am They!

"I am They”!

“They”
Are the Irish
The Black
And the Jew
“They’re
The innocent
All thrown
In the stew

"They”
Are your family
Your neighbor
Your friends
“They’re”
Used by bigots
As weapons
Again

“They"
Can be anyone
Anyone
You choose
“They’re”
Used as fodder
“They’re” an old
Racist tool
