I am what I am :)

Simplicity itself is closing the curtains in your room
On a chilly winter’s night
blotting out the dark gloom
With your PJ’s on & mug of milky tea
My pet pooch down by my slippers lying next to me

Happiness with harmony is how I feel
I’m snuggled up watching the TV
it’s no big deal
A drama or a documentary
Or the ten O’clock news
Aslong as it’s not scifi or warfare
they both give me the blues

Doesn’t take much to keep me entertained
Don’t waste your hard earned money on me
Just take me for a Chinese takeaway
When it is time for our tea

We can drive to the Chippy instead
If you prefer fish & chips
I might fancy mince pie, mushy peas along with curry dips
Sat eating it in your motor
staring out towards the sea
parked up for an hour
watching the seagulls fly free

I could go on & on thinking of things that I love
like star gazing, seeking out the constellations up above
Or rambling the woodlands
with living nature all around
Gathering mushrooms in grassy fields thats sprung up in the ground

I’ve not got expensive tastes
I’d never ask you for the Earth
Just keep me from being bored
that is your job’s worth
I don’t like doing nothing
staring into a blank wall
You see I am what I am
& that’s not me at all
