I am woman

I walk with my head held high.
Confidence oozing out of my posture.
I smile and greet people politely.

As I walk my hips move in a natural sway
To the rhythm of my heart.
My stained lips adding on allure.

My hair, whether up or down
Always defines my mood
and adds to my appearance.
I am innocent,
Yet tainted.

I know what I want,
And I know how to get it.
At times I may seem selfish
Other times I may seem selfless.

I am a woman.
I have the potential to be wicked and cunning,
Because I know where to strike to hurt you the most.
Yet fortunately for most, I am a woman who cares.

Do not try to understand me.
More often than not,
I can’t even understand myself.
