Poem -

I buried her today

I buried her today

I buried her today

Stood for a moment then walked away

I just kept walking out of that place

Shes gone now and i hope will never come back

She did me no favours, gave me no peace

And now l lay her here in this place

I held my head up and walked away with grace

I could not live with her for one second more

Listen to her undmine me, always putting me down

Seeing her walk about with that frown

Trusting too easy, never feeling sure

Loving all the wrong people

Not seeing her worth

No, im glad shes gone

She just could not stay

I had to bury her, and then walk away

The old me is gone forever

And here i stand, tall, present and proud

No longer trying to disapear into  the crowd

Im my new best friend see

Move over world get ready for - THE BRAND NEW ME. :)

I believe a past and unpleasant incident narrated here, still the poet is in dilema, well done.

Wow Louise,

To the new in you, the proud head held high, more pep in her step, assurance in all she say and do and to look back, (not ever to be in her cards), no more, may my hat be taken off too. You  wrote the epitaph, of a life time, for a short life time, of the old in her, that you have so proudly and with just cause, laid to rest. A power has she in her, sought by many, to be able to possess, though the courage obtained by the few, to acquire and maintain...I too lay a flower of remorse for the old but raise this glass in toast, for the phoenix you have allowed to rise...Great poem and wonderful courage to have been obtained, by you the poetess and the character, in your very well written poem....

Kindest or regards,

Jim
