I can LOVE again

I saw it coming like thunder after lightening

The sharp fear that follows makes it even worse

Like season after season, the faces are changing

Personalities and character and colour replaced in quick succession 

Worriedly I seek you to stay

Remember when we first met, the love we shared

But your heart is now a bird that makes my heart quakes

Yours eyes filled with pictures of the forgotten past

Echo of beautiful voices that never came through

Surely everyman passes a broken heart along the way

If he is lucky, he passes it only once

But if he is unlucky, he passes it as many times as he falls in love

Until he gets married and stop loving

and then live in love with his wife

It may be my turn to be hurt

I will be strong because i know it will pass
