Poem -

I Can't

I Can't

I can’t love you

because our hearts have melted in the fires of war

and our eyes have been blinded by flames.

I can’t kiss you

because our lips have been burned

and our breaths have been polluted by smoke.

I can’t give you a rose

because our flowers have withered

and our butterflies have retired on an unknown day.
