Burning Ice

Burning Ice

Arctic cold that pierced the soul
All around laid frozen coalΒ
Coming forth a chilling sheet
Shattering all thoughts of heat

ColdΒ icy hands came with a breeze
You felt every last blood drop freeze
Not the coldest day could compare
The sweet naive children bewareΒ

Just a look froze your thoughts
Now bitter and numbed knots
They wouldn’t leave unto
your heart seemed stone dead too
