I dreamt of you last night

You came to me in  dream last night, and in my heart i felt you

Just you and me together

Each line on your face seemed fimilier 

Each grey hair I felt i knew

We spoke no words, just held on to each other tight

I placed my hand on your gentle face and looked into your beauitful eyes of blue

I did not see the saddness that in this world had been in you

They told me you were peaceful, happy and cam

Rested and accepted, loved and content

Oh to this world that you now are, with you I could have went

You held my hand and kissed me, you told me to return, your job is not done, it is not your time to return home

The face I loved then faded, loss i felt once more

On waking I cried, and called out your name

In the coldness of the daylight, once more I sat alone

Trying to hold onto the comfort that my dream gave

Always alive within me, always by my side

When my job here is done and I am on my way

I know you will be waiting, we will walk together again

Love survives death and is stronger then any force

For now I need to live, and let life run its course

In my heart I hold you

In my thoughts you play

I know we will be together again one day
