I fell in love with the man

I fell in love with the man who tried his hardest to make me feel special in every way.
I fell in love with the man who kissed my lips as if it were his last dying wish; making me forget my own name and anything in this world that has ever caused me pain.
I fell in love with the man who's actions matched his words and whose integrity made me feel secure.
My love for this man has remained unchanged but the actions he showed to gain my love have gone away. Leaving me to wonder if he still feels the same.
The compliments I once received a thousand times a day are now absent from his vocabulary. I almost beg for him to utter the words "you look pretty" and it kills me that hearing this has become such a rarity.
The kisses he once gave to me which took my breath away have now been replaced with pecks as if he were saying "I am bored of this, and tired of these same lips."
I love this man so I stay although I fear we've grown estranged.
