I fight

I fight the demons in the dark to protect those whom I love in the light. I ready my weapon as day turns to night. I don't do this for fame or glory. I do this because it just feels right. I fight to ensure the safety of those i hold dear to my heart. I never give up and i never give in. Even one tiny slip-up will kill me and they will win. I have come close to death more times than i care to count. They can knock me down, but they can't knock me out. "I have to keep fighting. I won't give up." I keep repeating this over and over in my head. I keep fighting. Not giving up. Never gonna surrender. "Remember who you truly fight for!" I hear a voice say to me. I fight to protect everyone, but mainly for my love. This woman helped me battle the demons in my head. For years and years, I kept fighting what seemed like a hopeless and completely pointless war. I was about to give up all hope, but then i met her. With her help, I was finally able to fend those demons off. She saved me from my demons. She saved me from eternal hell. I owe her my life. I owe her everything, and someday I'm gonna make her my wife. She is the main reason I still fight today. I will protect her until my dying breath. These demons will never hurt her. No one will. I love this woman like no other. I will never give up for her sake. I will continue to put my life on the stake, and I know she would do the same. As i continue to battle, she speaks to me "Never stop. Don't quit. Push harder." So i do. I hold my ground. Slash after slash, the demons fall to my steel. As powerful as they are, they're no match for the power of love. With her at my side, I can do anything. Nothing can stop us. And all these demons can do is fuss. I keep fighting. Pushing back the enemy. "I have to keep fighting. I will never give up." I keep repeating this. Over and over. The demons keep coming, and i keep dropping. One by one. The love of my life continues to support me. She watches my back faithfully. She keeps me focused on the task at hand. Making sure i don't falter. She keeps me going. From down to dusk, dusk to dawn she keeps me safe. As i do with her. She knows how to keep me positive. Even when my days are negative. She makes my day no matter ow sad I am. She feels my soul with her positive rays of light. I have never been happier than i am right now. I look at her and say," Thank you for saving me. Thank you for everything. You mean everything to me." As I keep fighting, i catch a glimpse of light. Dawn comes which means i survived another long night. I'm tired. So tired. With her help i can battle again tonight. Thank you baby. I love you.
