I found me

Shivers traveling down my spine, but for you I do not pine.
For years I fantasized about being someone new, someone who wasn't with  you.
Yet still I stayed trapped, living in that lonely hell. I became nothing but an empty shell.
But wait, here's the happy ending.
I'm climbing back to myself, who I truly am. No longer am I drowning in the sand.
