Poem -

I had a dream he said

He had a dream he said, some 53 years ago, a dream of equality, and for lack of a better phrase lesser hatred, yet every day I look around and see people argue over such petty things.

I had a dream he said

every day I try to honor the efoorts such a great man made by being all I can be

I had a dream he said

I go to school in a place were I am a minority, it's ok I love people

but every day I see them all have such doubtful faces I see so much potential in all of them I wish there was a way I could show them what it is I see

I have a dream he said

that people of all ethic backrounds could be under one roof and get along, I had a dream too, that maybe something I say would stick and people might listen

I had a dream he said

maybe all of us could of listened to what that man said, because he wasn't the first to suggest such a thing and he wont be the last.

maybe there will be a day when we all strive for perfection and not just making our next dollar.

I had a dream he said

we all have dreams, but only the great follow those dreams, the rest of us sit back and talk about better times and brighter days we sit on our rear ends sipping booze and praying for something to sweep us up and do it for us

I had a dream he said

I have a dream too, to change the world to make it a better place so I can look my followed generation in the eye and say I did this for you, and then they can look back and say thank you. and push harder into the next horizon and aim for greater hights than I could ever imagine.

yet every day I look around and see a world crumbling around me, yet I won't dispair I simply realize I have more work cut out for me than originally intended

I had a dream he said

Well I have one too.
