I have been to that place

I have been to that place a time or two

when the walls start caving in and you feel bluer than blue

I've laid awake at night crying

convincing myself I have to keep trying

I have felt that longing

for some type of belonging

I have felt my heart continue to break

as I started to scream and my body would shake

in my head I'm always the blame

in my heart feeling so much shame

eventually it's do or die

you have to get up and decide to try

we weren't created to just lay down and die

we don't have to keep asking why

at the end of this dark tunnel there is light

it is time to get up and fight

we were created for so much more

I know our creator has better days in store

decide that depression will rob you no longer

that you will fight to be free and grow stronger

be free from the pain that is breaking your heart

this is the time for a new start
