Poem -

I, Man

I have toiled upon the land,

With regret of some forgotten shame.

I have walked through the valley deep,

Upon a faith with no name.

I have made war on the earth,

And established my claim.

I have ravaged the ground,

The fruits of my labor, my bane.

I have seen the world's weather,

Cursed with neither drought nor rain.

I have pillaged towns and strong places,

Their loss has become my gain.

I have mocked the One,

Who healed the blind and lame.

I have set to death He,

Who came to free me from shame.

I have no one but myself to blame.
