In this time of desperation when hope seems so far away
Dealing with Lupus or any disease can ruin any day
As it attacks your immune and other parts of your body
And people look at you and tend to feel sorry
You look up to the heaven and can’t help to ask why
Trying to get the answers but don’t get no reply
With tears in your eyes and a burden in your soul
You pray with all your heart trying not to get cold
While feeling the pain or hurt in your bones
Would things feel better if you eat an ice-cream cone?
It’s not fair you say; why is this happening to me?
I just want a normal life and feel free
But then you hear a whisper, a tender soft sound
Saying; my child I love you so, and in me you are not bound
You are my masterpiece and I have plans with you
I know you may not understand yet, but trust me in all I do.
Keep your head up high and your eyes set upon me
I promise that I am with you and your family.
So trust in the Lord with all your heart
And believe he’s been with you from the very start
He is your strength, peace, joy and so much more
Hold on to him and He will guide you through each door
