I MISS

I miss hugging the people I love and admire
The people who I cherish and also inspire 
They like me are kept behind a locked door
Not sure when I will see them anymore 

I miss seeing the people who I hold dear
Wish they were next to me and would appear 
The contact of a special friend I also miss too
Staying indoors though is something we must do

I miss everything connected with the world outside 
The lovely green fields that fill me with pride 
For the sake of the world indoors I will stay
Hoping that soon this virus will soon go away
