I Remember

Remember when we would say "nothing is gonna tear us apart",

well now that's all left behind, We were strong and it showed, then everything

fell and broke in half, I guess we weren't strong as we thought.

You were my lover and my bestfriend, and I was your bestfriend and all the above,

but I guess it wasn't enough.

Maybe we should've taken a step back, before we took it to all that,

but then again I still remember when we used to laugh then we would kiss

and it felt like it was gonna be our last.

WE felt a connection that we though it would last, then again

all that broke in half, I will always remember the things we had to

get passed, it was challenging but we never gave up.

Even though we were different color skin it was okay for us,

we didn't care of what others thought of that.

Ti'll this day I still think about him alot, since they took you away from me for not

being the color that I was, I still kept my head heald high cuz we were

strong and our love was stronger then they thought, it's good that

we were different cuz our love was from the inside and out.
