I Salute You
I salute you,
For the ground I walk upon
Is unstained and clean,
Your sacrife to the service of this country
Does not go on unnoticed
To the appreciative eyes,
Most honorable of men and women
Fight for a better world with their lives
In the face of evil courage never hides.
I salute you,
For prolonging the innocence
Processing the war within the mind
Keeping the love at heart,
Changed forever,
Coping without chaos is allowing passions to bleed,
Society will accept you
After justice's hands release their grip
And your respectfully received.
I salute you,
Selfless saints who protect our name,
Though I decided against serving
Breaking a long family chain
My hand rests upon my heart
Giving blessings to those who did I pray,
I salute you

Mark thank you for your service and comment. I still contemplate going in maybe Navy like my father iam still young enough but it is tough with a family now. Definitely makes me feel better hearing you say that I appreciate it, i was a young naive kid and to make a choice like that i just know its not for everyone.
