I Saw A Dead Insect Today

I Saw A Dead Insect Today

I saw a dead insect today.
I knew not what to say.
Killed remorselessly,
By a fellow brother.
Or sister.

I saw a dead insect today.
I had to look away.
Such pain inflicted on this poor creature.
Deprived of his right to live;
Murdered.

I saw a dead insect today.
All he wanted was to play.
Death came so suddenly.
How can humans be so heartless and just kill,
For fun?

Good Write. Takes Something We Never Think of; Accidentally Stepping On A Bug Or The Like, And Making Us Ponder On The Idea That We Are Technically "killers"; Of Bugs That Is. I Enjoyed This.
