I SOMETIMES BELIEVE

Something
that you once said
had me wonder,
and I grew from
knowing you.
I am grown now
a man
recalling mentorship and the days of my youth
How the days have changed 
the sun is aged and older
more full of light,
burning its fuel
for our enlightenment
and I am still learning,
I sometimes believe.
