I Took Notice

I Took Notice

Noticing you
I hoped you noticed me,
You could have been a dream
But I opened my mouth to speak,
Confessions of a fool admittedly but it's true
Your beauty shined out from the other girls
And I fell for you.
I was surprised to see you not pinch yourself
We flew through the world in time on a breeze
Why would any of us want to wake up,
Possesing a cure for each other's disease.
Looking back deserves a laugh
Never realizing the way fate plays
on actions that could have been refrained,
Smiles match aging faces
When we reflect on what we've become,
But two naive kids burning out the sun
Putting to sleep the night
Living in another's eyes
Unexpecting life's suprise,
Grown up fast, familiar strangers,
We'd flip the hand of love from front to back
And watch it give us another smack,
Sitting at a distance she notices me
Just like that day I noticed her.
