I Tried...

I tried, that I can't deny, even if you started to make me lose my mind, and made me want to fly, away to another place, as I felt so out of place, here with you, I know you felt like that too, I wanted to make us stay together, try and battle the strongest of weathers, but instead we drifted away, and I found a new place to stay, as I didn't like the sight of you, I needed something new.

We argued and fought, and I was left alone to ponder my thoughts, I wanted to give you anything you wanted from life, but I just couldn't provide, I spent my nights with someone else, and for that I am sorry, but we put each other through hell, and I just wanted someone else's company, but you did that too, with that ex of yours, it left me hurt and feeling blue, but I guess it evened the scores.

I tried to make us improve, but I just knew I was going to lose, so now I'm alone, and you're in your home, with some other guy, I can't deny, that it's torn me apart, but there's not much love left in my heart, for me to care, I just say a quiet prayer, and wait for someone new to walk into my life, maybe then, I'd know I'm alright.
