I Want to Beleive

I Want to Beleive

I want to believe all that I currently know and have been forever told.

I want to follow everything brought forth from the world’s authorities, I prefer to be controlled.

I want to be spoon fed all the answers, blending in so I can belong.

I want to have faith in my religion, teacher, guru, I am sure they never do anything wrong.

I want to not question anything that lies outside of my daily ritual, remaining safe in the box where I reside.

I want to trust that everything else is being taken care of, so I can sit back and forget about what has been denied.

I want to continue to pay off all my possessions, working hard until the day I retire.

I want to then be able to look back at a life well lived, even though I forgot to pursue my deepest desire.

I want to keep on burying my head in the sand when the cracks appear in a system I thought was everlasting.

I want to ignore those red flags poking out of the shadows and overlook who is behind this unmasking.

I want to remind myself it is okay to slowly lose my liberties and consent to a society that is permanently changing.

I want to never worry about the world I’m leaving for my children to survive in, I am not responsible for their caging.

I want to believe in all these things aforementioned, because if I don’t my identity and life that I have built with this notion would be a big deception.

I want to know this cannot be the case, but if it just so happens to be, maybe the truth of who I really am and what I believe in lies beyond this limited perception.
