I will always be your Mother đź’•

Please forgive me if for I know not what I say

I may be muddled amidst my memories from my yesterday

Please excuse me when my world has turned to grey

I will always be your Mother even if I get lost a little on the way

When I repeat myself again and again

Please just humour me, I know it sounds insane

I may have lost the plot in my tired, old brain

But do not worry too much, I will be as right as rain

Old age can change a person at the drop of hat

But I will always be your Mother, please remember that

And yes I could get confused, not knowing where I am at

Staring at and picking out the patterns on the mat…
