I Will Always Remember

The day that I can never forget,
I will always remember where I was.
After every passing year the lingering sadness,
The loved ones lost and the ones that must go on.
At the time of shock it was the only news,
Never have I seen the sky so clear.
After the evacuations of school,
Miles away I sat and watched,
One of the worst attacks spiking American's fear.
I will always remember,
The day a bunch of cowards stole the innocence,
Of a nation once thought untouchable,
Which changed forever,
And became united.
I don't fill myself anymore with past hate,
I never forget with hopes and prayers,
That we never experience a tragedy of that magnitude.
I know like me you will always remember,
Where you were on that horrific day.
