I wish

I wish,
That we could all just come together.
Unite as people.
One race,
 one voice.

Let us not be controlled by our fear.
For fear is the root of all evil.
With fear there is mistrust and doubt.

How shall we overcome anything?
Why hide behind the shadow of doubt?
Why preach hatred and ignorance to our kids?
Why not teach tolerance, love and obedience?

It just makes no sense,
how one family can teach trust,
and another family can teach distrust.
We will never see positive results if we don’t teach
in ways that allow us to co-exist rather than clash.
