I wished upon a star ⭐️

I closed my eyes as tightly as I could whilst I wished upon a star

I realise what happened to me next may sound a bit bizarre

But when I opened my eyes and looked up to the skies I saw my own memoir..

There you were my dearest Mam and Dad looking down on me

Along with all my lovely aunties and my uncles from our long lost family

And the whole lot of you looked so wonderful and as contented as can be

Each and everyone of you had your arms wide open smiling happily..

Yet I couldn’t help myself as I suddenly started to cry

Tears ran down my rosy cheeks just like a river rolling by

Then I listened in astonishment and you would have heard me sigh
