I Wonder

     I wonder how David felt, before he was king
Living in the wilderness, writing psalms, and singing
     I wonder how David felt, just running from the law
Living a life of faith, praying to a Living God
     I wonder how David felt, when he had to eat the Holy Bread
Living, as a warrior, Praying to God to be fed
     I wonder how David felt, after he sinned
Living in shame and sorry, praying for God to forgive him
