I Would Have Never Believed

     I would have never believed what this world would one day become 
people living on their smart phones 
and they communicate with their thumbs 
it’s a virtual mess
     I would have never believed 
That the world, would not
Honor all creation
praise and thank God
i must truly confess
     I would have never believed
that the truth disappeared
Road rage and shootings 
anger and fear
when you walk out the door
     I would have never believed 
in this world anyway
because I believe there’s only one way
to trust in the Lord
