I Wrote You a Letter

I Wrote You a Letter

I wrote you a letter,

I stamped it yesterday.

Its tucked inside my wallet,

I've carried it all day.

I finally grew the courage,

To tell you how I feel.

My heart and soul poured out,

In to an envelope, tightly sealed.

Lines of love,

Lines of hope,

Lines to make you laugh.

I gripped my pen with passion,

As I professed my every thought.

Are ones that you've forgot?

Or maybe you'll remember

Every precious detail,

And I should just work up the confidence,

To stick this letter in the mail.

If I decide to send this,

My entire world could change.

But what happens if I mail it,

And you do not feel the same?

The time has come to unveil

What you finally need to know.

But I'll have to wait another day,

Because now the post office has closed...
