Poem -

If I Had Known

If I had known what trouble
You were bearing what grieves
Were in the silence of your face
I would have been more
Gentle and caring and gave
you gladness for space.
All paths lead to you
Wherever I stay you are
The evening star at the
End of the day.
All paths lead to you
Hill-top or low
You are the white birch
In the sun's glow
Wherever i roam
You're the lark song
Calling me home.
