I'm trying to find the right words,

story of my life...

The way you make me feel

makes me want to be your wife.

All my life I knew pain, anger, hatred,

betrayal, lies and deceit. 

Then God brought you into my life

and I knew it was not a repeat.

You were my strength when I was weak

You showed me unconditional love,

Without lies, without anger, without doubt.

You made me feel as if I were flying like a dove

You stuck by my side through thick and thin

When others would have ran

You showed me a world I never knew

You helped me understand

The true meaning of love, not just the word

I'll forever cherish the day you made that drive to meet me

To you it was so far, almost a foreign land

Yet you came as promised and I said to myself "I like what I see"

Little did I know, this handsome man was not shallow,

Your words were truth and have not changed 

Even with the million choices around you.... YOU CHOSE ME

Now I can honestly say, regardless how life turns out,

I know I was loved and with a man whose heart beat in rhythm with mine,
