If You Cared

If you cared about your son
You'd try to change
Instead of sleeping with every man
And playing drunken games

You can't take care of him
For a reason
He was taken from you
Because you don't know how
To treat him

You blow up and get drunk
Then trick people into
Thinking you
Are the victim

If you really wanted your son
You wouldn't be an addict
You'd learn to love
Instead of faking it

You said it yourself
You don't care
No wonder your son
Isn't there

All the blame is on you
Do you even realize
The crap you do

Even if you did
It's too late now
So don't even bother
To wonder how
Your life ended up like this

It's because you,
Don't know love
It's because you
Push and shove

You never cared about your son
That's why he'll always be done
With you
So even if you stop what you do
It's too late
He is broken because of you
